CK(Pan) is a broad-spectrum cytokeratin. It can mark almost all epithelia, including covering epithelium and glandular epithelium, and is expressed in various squamous cell carcinomas, adenocarcinomas, transitional cell carcinomas, small cell carcinomas, malignant mesotheliomas, germ cell tumors (except seminomas), some synovial sarcomas, and leiomyosarcomas. It can be used for the differential diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma and adrenal cortical tumors, and also helps detect micrometastases in lymph nodes. Combined with markers such as EMA and CEA, it is used for the differential diagnosis of epithelial tumors and non-epithelial tumors; it is also useful in the study of various cancers.
