Masson's staining uses dyes such as hematoxylin, acid fuchsin, and aniline blue. Through the differential affinity of tissue components to these dyes, cell nuclei are stained black, muscles and epithelium are stained red, and collagen fibers are stained blue or green. This method is used to assess connective tissue lesions, such as fibrosis, scar formation, and tumor stroma changes. It is applied to organ sections rich in connective tissue (such as liver, lung, and kidney), visually displaying collagen accumulation and tissue structural changes, providing an important tool for fibrosis and pathological research.
