The molecular weight of Claudin4 is approximately 17 to 27 kDa, and it is one of the scaffold proteins constituting tight junctions. Claudin4 is abnormally expressed in various epithelial-derived tumors, such as gastric cancer, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer. Its expression level is closely related to the occurrence, development, and prognosis of tumors. It can be used for: 1. Differential diagnosis between renal cell carcinoma and mesothelioma; 2. High expression in urothelial carcinoma and pancreatic cancer.
