Product Introduction:

H3 K36M, also known as H3.3 K36M, is a mutation where the lysine (K36) at position 36 on histone H3 is replaced by methionine (M) (K36M). The H3F3A gene on chromosome 1 and the H3F3B gene on chromosome 17 both encode histone H3.3. Tumors such as giant cell tumor of bone, bone cyst, chondroblastoma, and osteosarcoma share morphological similarities, making their differential diagnosis very challenging. More than 90% of chondroblastomas have the K36M mutation (93% occur in the H3F3B gene, 7% in the H3F3A gene); H3K36M is positively expressed in almost all chondroblastomas and is absent in other diseases with similar histological structures. It can serve as a specific marker for diagnosing chondroblastoma.
