BRAF is encoded by the BRAF gene and is widely present in various tissues, especially in nerve cells and skin cells. Its mechanism of action involves binding to the activated form of the RAS protein, followed by phosphorylation and dimerization, which then activates the downstream MEK/ERK signaling pathway. This pathway plays a key role in processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis.
