Bcl-2 is a member of the apoptosis protein family. In lymphocytes, Bcl-2 is highly expressed in T cells, pro-B cells, and mature B cells, while its expression is reduced in germinal center B cells. It is also expressed in normal mammary epithelial cells, as well as in the medullary and cortical cells of the thymus (weakly positive).
