INI-1, also known as SMARCB1, is a nuclear protein primarily expressed in the cell nucleus. It is a member of the SWI/SNF complex and is involved in regulating chromatin conformation and gene expression. Abnormal expression or loss of INI-1 is associated with malignant tumors, especially malignant soft tissue sarcomas and Wilms tumor. Detecting INI-1 expression plays a key role in the diagnosis and classification of these tumors.
